Here's something we can do NOW to help:
The Stephen Siller Tunnel To Towers Foundation http://tunnel2towers.org/
Stephen was a firefighter, off-duty on 9/11/01 and playing golf at Marine Park that fateful morning. He dropped his clubs, and drove to the city to help, but the Battery was closed to traffic. So, did he stay safe and turn around? No, he dressed in gear in Brooklyn, and RAN through the Brooklyn Battery Tunnel to the World Trade Center. he was helping poeple down the smokey stairs when the North Tower came down.
Thanks to his brother, Frank, he started the Stephen Siller Foundation, building homes for our returning war heroes who have been maimed and imjured in the fight for freedom. Please help. I am honroed to be on the board of this wonderful charity.
my buddy, Staten-Islander Brendan Marrocco, the first quadruple amputee soldier back from Afghanistan - we built him a great house, but Superstorm Sandy didn't like it - so we're gonna build a BETTER one!
